Message from the Pastor
Everyone is Welcome!
After nearly four years of a faith journey that felt like a wilderness, we have finally come to a new beginning. Through the cooperation and support of the San Fernando Presbytery, we have regained the name of Hanyang Presbyterian Church, which had once been closed, and have settled well into a new place of worship.
Embracing the vision, “Praise boldly, Live faithfully, Love widely,” we are truly joyful and grateful that we can now share the story of Hanyang Presbyterian Church with our neighbors. We offer our deepest thanks to everyone who has joined their hearts with ours and walked together with us up to this day. All glory and praise we lift up to the Triune God.
During this time, we have kept our place on Sundays by worshiping in homes, on Zoom, and sometimes in restaurants. This season stretched across years, and looking back, it was certainly not a short journey. Yet even though there was no set end to our waiting, the time did not feel unusually long.
At every moment, God met the needs of the church through people He had prepared. Through those experiences, our trust in God grew deeper, and as the worship offered in the wilderness accumulated, that trust grew into conviction. Our faith also matured. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we learned to discern what happens when the gospel of Jesus Christ is overlaid with human desire. Our understanding of people deepened, as did our capacity to grasp the heart of God.
Now, we invite you to God’s new beginning. We are also searching for a senior pastor. Everyone is welcome. Come, and let us build the church together.
We are already worshiping together beyond language barriers, and we have begun ministry beyond denominational boundaries. Though this new beginning may still seem small and faint, as time accumulates step by step, God’s mission will become ever clearer. Your participation in that journey will be used in precious ways.

누구나 오세요!
근 4년간의 광야 같은 신앙 여정을 지나, 마침내 새로운 시작을 맞이하게 되었습니다.
San Fernando 노회의 협력과 지원 속에서, 한때 폐쇄되었던 한양장로교회의 이름을 되찾았고, 새로운 예배 장소에도 잘 정착했습니다.
“Praise boldly, Live faithfully, Love widely”라는 비전을 품고, 이제 교회 이웃들에게 한양장로교회의 소식을 전할 수 있게 되어 참으로 기쁘고 감사합니다.
오늘에 이르기까지 마음을 모아 주시고 함께 걸어와 주신 모든 분들께 깊이 감사드립니다.
모든 영광과 찬양을 삼위일체 하나님께 올려드립니다.
그동안 우리는 가정집에서, Zoom으로, 때로는 식당에서 예배 드리며 주일의 자리를 지켜 왔습니다. 해를 넘기며 이어진 시간이었고, 돌아보면 결코 짧지 않은 여정이었습니다. 그러나 기다림에 기약은 없었어도, 그 시간이 유난히 길게 느껴지지는 않았습니다.
매 순간마다 하나님께서 예비하신 사람들을 통해 교회의 필요를 채워 주셨기 때문입니다. 그 경험 속에서 하나님을 향한 우리의 신뢰는 점점 더 깊어졌고, 광야에서 드린 예배의 시간이 쌓일수록 그 신뢰는 확신으로 자라났습니다. 우리의 신앙도 한층 성숙해졌습니다.
성령의 인도하심 가운데, 예수 그리스도의 복음이 인간의 욕심으로 덧칠될 때 어떤 모습이 되는지도 분별하게 되었고, 사람을 이해하는 눈과 하나님의 마음을 헤아리는 깊이도 넓어졌습니다.
이제 하나님의 새로운 시작에 여러분을 초대합니다.

누구나 오세요! 와서, 함께 교회를 세워 갑시다.
우리는 이미 언어의 장벽을 넘어 함께 예배하고 있으며, 교단의 벽을 넘어 사역을 시작했습니다. 지금은 아직 작고 희미해 보일지라도, 이 새 시작의 시간이 차곡차곡 쌓일수록 하나님의 선교는 더욱 분명해질 것입니다. 그리고 그 여정에 여러분의 참여가 소중하게 쓰일 것입니다.
